A Day in the Life of a Commercial Roofer

Although no two commercial roofing jobs are ever the same, our approach to each job is always the same; we provide our clients with high-quality, competitively priced roofing, and waterproofing solutions. That means that whether our team of professionals is making an emergency roof repair or handling routine maintenance and improvements, our clients can be assured that their roof is being handled with the utmost thoroughness and care. Regardless of how big or small your commercial roofing project may be, we provide all our clients with the highest quality service. But what does that look like daily? We’ll walk you through what a typical day in the life of a commercial roofer looks like.

Safety First

This step starts early! Depending on the area of the site or a company’s preferences, we’ll agree upon an early start time for our team to meet at the job site. But don’t worry – the noisier aspects of the project will not begin right away. Instead, the team will discuss the project and ensure their plan to maintain a safe job site. Our most important asset is our employees, so our main focus is maintaining a safe and healthy work environment free of any significant hazards. All our employees are trained and certified in fall protection before working on any job, in any capacity. We also handle all preliminary paperwork at this time as well.

Materials Prep

Once we’ve debriefed, we’ll get to work laying out our roofing materials. We work with all types of roofing materials: cool single-ply roofs, modified bituminous, built-up roofs or metal roofs, aluminum composite panels, and more! As an award-winning installer of many different roofing materials, we ensure expert handling of all routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Our teams are also qualified to handle manufacturer warranty work as well.

In Progress

Once our team starts work on a project, they utilize a state-of-the-art mobile Tech Tool to provide our office staff, field crews, and clients with the tools they need to connect. This tool lets us directly provide field crews with the site information they need through wireless tablets. The Tech Tool application brings service management to the field by enabling Field Technicians to process Work Orders and complete associated tasks electronically. In the office, we can immediately collect all field information in real-time and relay that information to our clients as needed.
