We are currently looking fora Health and Safety Analyst. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the workforce, management, and third-party claims administrators for Workers’ Compensation. The successful candidate must have knowledge of Workers Compensation principles and concepts, general industry standards, and Federal and State safety regulations. Maintain complete confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive medical information with absolute discretion, partnering with Payroll and Human Resources as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures timely processing of Workers Compensation claim files, investigates claims, and documents decisions regarding claims.
Monitors the status of Workers Compensation cases to determine return to work status; provides HR, Payroll, supervisors, and managers updates with their continuing status.
Documents Workers Compensation claims and interactions and maintains updated Workers Compensation files.
Coordinates work site injury procedures and reporting.
Investigates and reviews accident reports to proactively apply Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment at all facilities and projects.
Manages Transition to Work Program.
Prepares reports on Workers Compensation Audits.
Enforces current OSHA regulations and company policies.
Assists in safety program training and development.
Plans, develops and build out training courses in the company Learning Management System LMS.
Partners with HR and Operations to coordinate and manage employee return to work.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in relevant field; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Must possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must possess the ability to write simple correspondence. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred to interact with bilingual workforce.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of, Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
